The Breakfast Club has a special Wonka-esque menu available until the end of the month. There’s a Cherry Chocolate Scrumdiddlyumptious pancake, layered with sour cherry compote, topped with a chocolate bomb and served with a river of hot chocolate ganache. Or a Violet Cheesecake Beauregarde pancake that’s layered with blueberry compote and vanilla cheesecake cream,
and topped with a cloud of candy floss. You’ll find these incredibly sweet pancakes at their London, Brighton, Oxford and Chelmsford locations.

Where the Pancakes Are has Popping Forest Pancakes on its menu until 25th. This creation is piled high with blackberry compote, drizzled chocolate, vanilla ice cream, marble shards and a sprinkling of chocolate-coated popping candy! You’ll find them located at Fitzrovia, Battersea Power Station and London Bridge in the capital.

More pancake places

Boston Tea Party is a chain with cafes from Plymouth up to Birmingham and its high stacks of pancakes are extremely popular at this time of year. Their pancake specials are available until closing time on Sunday. This includes a Banoffee Pancake with banana, toffee sauce, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Hanky Panky in Chester offer up crepe style pancakes and Scotch pancakes, so you’ll be satisfied whether you like your pancakes thick or thin, sweet or savoury. As this is their speciality, you can get yours at any time, not just on Shrove Tuesday.

Manchester’s Hampton and Vouis have a small choice of sweet and creative pancakes including a Jammy Dodger Stack and a Biscoff & Bueno Stack. Plus, there’s a full menu of other brunching options.

For a good choice of sweet and savoury pancakes there’s Stack & Still, which has branches in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London amongst other locations. Best of all, they’ll let you build your own stack using your choice of five pancake bases and a ridiculously wide selection of toppings.

The Pancake Place in Dundee, Elgin and Dunfermline has a choice of stacked and indulgent pancakes to try. Their stackers include rocky road and raspberry pavlova options, while their Scottish pancakes include Canadian, Cornish and Alaskan style toppings.
