Art meets photojournalism in Between the Headlines

By Caroline King - February 24, 2022Posted in : Art, Exhibition

For one evening only, you can view the work of eight emerging artists from eight different countries in a new exhibition. Between the Headlines is the first show by International Body of Art. And it celebrates a beautiful merge of art within photojournalism.

Between the Headlines art exhibition
Between the Headlines, is on for one evening only in London

The current, constant news cycle can be overwhelming. Especially right now. So, this exhibition is presenting a different method of communication, using a curated collection of photography, video and sound. Creating a space for artists to display a different side of photojournalistic practices whilst exploring different relatable topics and issues from their backgrounds.

The aim of these works is to look at photojournalism as an art form and a tool to inform people on the current affairs by sharing an interactive visual experience. One that challenges the public to get more involved with the artwork and the issues portrayed.

The artists featured in the exhibition are Alexis Andreou, Davide Lhamid, Esther Gabrielle Kersley, Haohui Liu, Malik Marble, Susheel Schroeder, Vaishnavi Pandey and Vanessa Endeley.
