Watch The CO-OP, a successful play about a bunch of nobodies

By Caroline King - September 21, 2021Posted in : Theatre

Looking for a spot of entertainment to get you through the week? The CO-OP is a humorous play about a bunch of nobodies running a dysfunctional acting agency. And it’s on at the Jack Studio Theatre in London for a short run.

After Jimmy and Caza watch their best friend leave the agency, it all seems to be over. But can exciting and talented Charlie be the answer to their woes? Or will the secrets beneath The CO-OP be revealed?

Using popular music and film genres, this play is a love letter to theatre and film, brought to life by a bunch of rejects.

This fast-paced, funny play has already had successful runs across the capital, at the Waterloo East Theatre, the White Bear, the Bread and Roses, and the OSO Arts Centre. And it’s garnered some favourable reviews.

It’s brought to the stage by Make it Beautiful, who describe themselves as a London-based theatre company with a Russian soul. They aim to turn the mundane into something much more interesting. And they hope to bring some joy by doing it.
