This Noisy Isle, an immersive summer adventure for families

By Caroline King - June 24, 2021Posted in : FEATURED-CONTENT, Theatre

If you’re looking for a summer treat for your family, then Spun Glass Theatre’s immersive adventure could hit the spot! This Noisy Isle will take audiences through a strange and magical new world as it tours the south of England.

This socially-distanced show is an outdoor treasure hunt packed with puzzles and sprites, inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

What can you expect from this family-friendly show? You will steer your team through choppy seas, meet mysterious characters and solve puzzles to search for a new home and find where you belong. As a family, you’ll build a den with Caliban and learn magic tricks with Prospero. Plus, you’ll sing and dance with Ariel, whilst learning about how people integrate in new countries with new languages. This Noisy Isle is an entertaining and educational show, perfect for the summer holidays.

Spun Glass Theatre is passionate about making accessible, imaginative and educational theatre for children. And This Noisy Isle is no different. Their newly adapted, interactive production makes concepts of human displacement and challenges faced by migrants, accessible to a young audience. It’s full of mysterious characters and ideal for children aged from seven to 11 years.
