South east London’s Jack Studio Theatre will be opening its doors back up to the public next month, with the Wolves Are Coming For You. Written by playwright Joel Horwood, this show is a celebration of storytelling and community.
Someone has seen a wolf. Where did it come from? How many are there?
Someone must be able to do something about them. Otherwise, how will our children get to school? And how will we all get to line-dancing in the village hall?
Set over one extraordinary day in an ordinary village, the Wolves Are Coming For You explores just how much wild we’re actually comfortable with.
This production is directed by Kate Bannister and produced by the Jack’s in-house team. And the writer, Joel Horwood (playwright, director and dramaturg), is also a creative associate at the Lyric Hammersmith theatre in London.
If you have yet to visit the Jack Studio Theatre, it’s an award-winning theatre in Brockley. And it’s handily located between Brockley and Honor Oak Park stations. The Wolves Are Coming For You is their first in-house show since their closure in March 2020, although they’ve still been busy running online workshops and digital project during this time. The Wolves Are Coming For You is part of their returning season of work.
The show will be run in line with government guidelines, so all tickets will need to be pre-booked. And you can find more information on what to expect during your visit on their website.
