Northern writers Burn Bright this winter

By Caroline King - November 24, 2020Posted in : Theatre

This winter, northern writers will take centre stage as anthology series Better in Person returns to bring us five new plays.

Burn Bright’s digitally commissioned anthology series will have a northern-centric focus as it aims to amplify the voices of northern female writers.

The series will showcase an intimate, hilarious, and very human collection of online conversations as we continue navigating a life of new rules, regulations and lockdowns.

The writers involved are Shannon Barker, Olivia Hannah, Rachel Hogg, Zoe Iqbal and Kat Rose-Martin. The Better In Person series will be directed and hosted by Burn Bright’s Tori Allen-Martin.

Burn Bright have partnered with the Hull Truck Theatre, Live Theatre, Octagon Theatre and the Stephen Joseph Theatre to create this series.

These five thought-provoking plays will be showcased via Zoom on Monday 14th December. And for those of you who missed the previous Better in Person events, recordings of these are also available on a pay per view basis for a limited time.

When: 14th December 2020, at 8pm
Where: Via Zoom
£: Tickets cost £5
