Watch Baby Driver at a Drive-In

By Caroline King - September 6, 2020Posted in : Cinema, Food & Drink

This month, make going for a drive a bit more thrilling with a trip to one of the AA’s drive-in cinema events.

AA Getaway - The Drive-In
Head to one of the AA’s Drive-In events

The AA are launching their first drive-in cinema events with a series of screenings at two outdoor locations this September. Head to Bicester Motion near Oxford, or Elvington Airfield near York, for the AA’s Getaway Vol 1: The Drive-In. Enjoy a selection of afternoon and evening screenings from the safety of your car.

Choose from light-hearted space chase Guardians of the Galaxy, cool heist drama Baby Driver, or if you’re an AA Member, sporting epic Le Mans ’66.

At the event, each vehicle will be provided with a high-quality remote sound system and the films will be projected onto three giant backlit LED screens.

To complete the experience, there will be independent local food and drink available with contact-free ordering, direct to cars. At Bicester, you can expect locally-brewed beer from the Wriggly Monkey Brewery and artisan pizza from Absolute Taste, as well as burgers and hot drinks. At the York events you can enjoy a drink from One Ten On Tap or Mooshakes, Mocktails and Munchies, and street food from Nan’s Van.

All screenings will be presented with social distancing measures in place, with a limited number of vehicles at each venue. So, get your social bubble together and drive off to the Drive-In.

If you’re looking for more ideas of how to spend time with your social bubble, try one of these.

When: 11th – 20th September 2020
Where: Bicester Motion, near Oxford and Elvington Airfield, near York
£: Tickets cost £30 per vehicle
