Ready to kick-off your theatre-going experiences again? Then a new immersive show in a stadium might just give you the dose of drama you’re looking for.
The world premiere of Squad Goals will be taking place at Dagenham & Redbridge Football Ground in Essex this September.
This aptly-staged and lively, football-themed play tells of the lives, ambitions and relationships amongst a diverse group of female school leavers. Inspired by the success of England’s lionesses, they form a five-a-side squad in their home town, Dagenham.
Squad Goals follows the challenges they face as they struggle to be taken seriously in a world designed to stop them reaching their potential.
Squad Goals promises a highly physical show, filled with dance and drama. It will be brought to life by a cast of local Essex-based actors, recent graduates and West End performers. The cast includes Jade Marvin (Six, NCL), Annie Southall (The Boyfriend, Menier Chocolate Factory) and Lucy Aiston (Six, Bliss Cruise production).
Caspa Productions have reimagined the production, bringing a new approach to socially distanced theatre.
If football isn’t really your thing, there are plenty of alternative outdoor events taking place in the UK this September and October.
