Critically acclaimed Artemisia Gentileschi drama It’s True, It’s True, It’s True will be streamed this month, following its BBC Four TV debut.
This week, Breach Theatre will release their acclaimed bodies of work via YouTube, with It’s True, It’s True, It’s True: Artemisia on Trial to stream on Tuesday 31st March. It will be available on Breach’s channel for 30 days.
It’s True, It’s True, It’s True is a courtroom drama, based on the case of the rape of Baroque painter Artemisia Gentileschi. The film is produced by Artemisia Films and Breach Theatre. A hit at the 2018 and 2019 Edinburgh Festivals, it was due to be performed at the Barbican this April.
Breach Theatre will also stream The Beanfield – a political drama that follows the 1985 ‘Battle of the Beanfield’ – for the first time. The Beanfield is a vivid portrayal of the brutal conflict between new age travellers and police, confronting issues of history and civil liberties.
This Friday, Breach will also release the Joan of Leeds soundtrack. The medieval mystery play uses live music to tell the extraordinary true story of a runaway 14th century rebel nun, with lyrics by Billy Barrett and music by James Frewer.
It’s True, It’s True, It’s True: Artemisia on Trial will be streamed for free and Breach encourage donations via PayPal for those who enjoyed the show and wish to support the company through the shutdown.
