Bakers from across the globe are perfecting their crimping, ready for the Eden Project’s World Pasty Championships in Cornwall this month.
The championships will see both professional and amateur competitors, from across the world, hoping to be crowned this year’s winner. Categories will include the best traditional Cornish pasties as well as the best alternative savoury pasties. In addition to the main championship, there will also be the World’s Fastest Crimper challenge. Who will be this year’s quickest crimper of pasties?
This year’s event will also feature a host of quirky pasty-themed activities including pasty making workshops, a photobooth with pasty props to use, and a pasty pageant.
There will be live music throughout the day, with bands including Black Friday, Huw & the Greater Good, True Foxes and The Leylines Trio.
