Have an Enchanted Christmas in the woods

By Caroline King - November 29, 2019Posted in : Food & Drink, Walks

This festive season, the Forestry Commission’s National Arboretum at Westonbirt will be transforming into a sensory winter wonderland.

Westonbirt’s annual Enchanted Christmas event will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening, until the weekend before Christmas.

At the heart of the Enchanted Christmas event lies a spectacular lighting display, that takes decorating the tree for Christmas to a whole new level. Westonbirt’s majestic tree collection will be illuminated, to create a magical experience for the whole family. A new lighting design is created each year, taking in around a mile of the arboretum’s paths.

The trail itself is pushchair, wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly (although paths may be muddy) and features light spectacles and interactive displays for the family to enjoy along the way. Meet Father Christmas and woodland creatures along the trail.

As well as the trail, there will be a Christmas village with festive choirs, family friendly arts and crafts, traditional fairground rides, stalls, and seasonal food and drink (cash only).

When: 29th November – 22nd December 2019, 4pm – 9pm
Where: Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, Tetbury GL8 8QS
£: Tickets cost £15 for adults, £13 for concessions and £7.50 for children. Children under 5 years go free
