The 69th British National Ploughing Championships will take place in Lincolnshire on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October, with more than 250 top ploughmen – and women – from all over Britain expected to compete.
The event kicks off on the Saturday morning with a parade of competitors, followed by horse and vintage tractor ploughing. On the Sunday there will be a parade of ‘plough off’ competitors, who will compete in the finals.
Over the weekend, visitors to the Ploughing Championships can enjoy watching steam ploughing engines at work, and see vintage tractor, machinery and rural craft displays, along with agricultural machinery demonstrations.
There will also be hot food and a bar, trade stands, shopping stalls, country crafts, heavy horses, and tractor and trailer rides.
