It may be the start of Autumn but things are hotting up in Cumbria this weekend, as competitors take on a spicy challenge.
The 2019 Chilli Fest at Holker Hall & Gardens will bring a weekend of chilli-themed entertainment to the county. The two-day festival will include specialist chilli companies and a range of chilli-themed produce and quirky gifts, cookery demonstrations, and children’s entertainers.
Vendors at the festival will include Wiltshire Chilli Farm, Shed 1 Gin, the Northumbrian Sausage Company, Pennington Spirits & Liqueurs, Kick Ass Cheeses, Spicy Monkey, Cartmel Cheeses, Mr Vikki’s fusion pickles, Blessing’s Bakery, and the Chilli Pepper Company.
The festival highlight will be the chilli eating competition, taking place on both the Saturday and Sunday at 4pm. Can you handle the heat?
There will also be face painting, street theatre, steel band music and a salsa workshop.
