Five new plays at the British Theatre Challenge

The British Theatre Challenge returns to the Jack Studio Theatre this autumn, with five new plays, wrapped into one entertaining evening.

Audiences can expect a night of diverse, exciting and award-winning plays from around the world. Produced by Sky Blue Theatre, the challenge is open to all playwrights, and their eighth year has seen 280 short plays submitted from 14 different countries making this the biggest challenge yet.

The British Theatre Challenge has been supporting and producing work by emerging and established writers across the globe since 2012. In the past few years more than 40 winning plays have been offered publication as a direct result of the challenge.

This year’s winning plays are Cougar by Michael Fenlason, Antisocial by Media Julie Barnett, For Abby by Holli Harms, Trick or Treat by Ron Asher, and Fabio the Great by Elspeth Tilley.

When: 1st – 5th October 2019
Where: Brockley Jack Studio Theatre, 410 Brockley Road, London SE4 2DH
£: Tickets cost £16 or £13 for concessions (Suitable for ages 16+)
