The fourth annual Brockweir Soapbox Derby will take place on Saturday 21st September in the Forest of Dean village.

The event will see competitors in gravity powered karts negotiate a course which runs from Mackenzie Hall to the bottom of the hill near Brockweir Country Inn.

The adult and junior races will take place from 11am to 2pm, with participants making two timed runs. This year’s downhill course will include several jumps and chicanes, with competitors hoping to equal previous years’ 40mph speeds.

Trophy and prize presentations will take place at 4pm. Categories usually include the fastest kart, the most stylish kart, and the best ‘champagne moment’.

The family friendly event will have stalls and refreshments, situated mid-way along the race route.

When: 21st September 2019, from 10am
Where: The karts will race down Mill Hill in Brockweir, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire
£: Free (Programmes cost £2)
