Every summer, Jacksons Lane hosts an annual festival of circus, cabaret and theatre performances from emerging artists. This year’s Postcards Festival kicks off today (16th July) with kitsch 70s themed cabaret and continues for the next couple of weeks.
The festival continues until the 27th July with physical comedy The Greatest Show on Earth, clown-adventurer Daniel Goncalves’ Heaven, underground performance party Slappers Club, and acrobatic circus show Empyre.
There will also be grotesque characters and surreal situations abound in physical non-verbal comedy Lubbert, and a closing night cabaret of improvised performances including trapeze, juggling and clowning.
The festival operates a Pay What You Want policy, meaning you can book tickets for free and pay what you think it’s worth afterwards.
