The 12th annual Hebden Bridge Handmade Parade will be bringing celebration and spectacle to the streets on Sunday. This year’s event promises to tell you a story, with strange people and fantastic creatures from European folklore, myth and ritual.

Workshops are held in the weeks prior to the parade, when the community gets busy making weird and wonderful giant puppets. These creations make up the main spectacle in the Handmade Parade, and are joined by street bands and a host of costumed volunteers, dancing their way along the parade route.

If you fancy watching this year’s parade, then make sure you head along to Hebden Bridge for 11.30am. The parade will be making its way from Victoria Road, down Valley Road, through St George’s Square and Bridge Gate, to finish in Calder Holmes Park.

At the park there will be a mini festival of live music, dance, street theatre, and a picnic in the park with the help of food stalls from local vendors, which will continue until around 3.30pm.

When: 30th June 2019, from 11.30am
Where: Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire
£: Free to watch
