By Caroline King - May 18, 2019Posted in : Classes & Workshops, Dance, Festival, Food & Drink, Heritage, Music

LostFest is a quirky one-day festival that takes place in Cornwall with an eclectic mix of music, dance, demonstrations and activities.

LostFest - Lostwithiel - Cornwall
LostFest is Lostwithiel’s quirky annual festival

Entertainment will kick off at around 10am and carry on into the evening. Music and dance performances throughout the day will include everything from samba to morris dancing, barbershop quartets to pop. This year’s entertainment will include Catseye Morris, Plymouth Ukulele Players, The Roving Crows and the Champagne Cornwall Chorus.

This year, the festival will feature plenty of stalls, full of arts, antiques, crafts, gifts and food, plus there’ll be a host of demonstrations and workshops to enjoy.

For visitors who like their history, LostFest will have medieval battle re-enactments courtesy of The Black Company, and performances of 15th, 16th, 17th and 19th century court and country dances from the Renaissance Historical Dance Society. Visitors can also explore the town’s museum and delve into Lostwithiel’s past.

There will also be plenty of activities for children, including face painting, arts and crafts activities, an inflatable assault course and a forest school.

Lostfest will run well into the evening with live music from electro duo Stevie and the Masquerades, beer from Skinners tent and some much needed sustenance from the Food Village.
