This summer, Queen of Hoxton invites you to a long hot summer of tacos, tequila and giant frozen Margaritas on their rooftop bar, inspired by the vibrant town of San Cristóbal in Mexico.
Gloriously colourful and hot as a habanero, journey off the beaten track and up the staircase to find the secret hang out of the Luchadoras, the baddest bitches in Mexican female wrestling.
Step into the world of Lola Gonzalez, the rebel Queen of the Lucha Libre movement. As the legendary hero of a million Luchadoras fights, Lola and her band of Luchadoras will be teaching a new generation of young women to kick-ass.
Relax in the sun-drenched streets under the cool shade of the bandstand, pay homage to your favourite wrestlers, or learn some moves in the wrestling ring (where you’ll also find an arm wrestling stage). Head to the back-street bar for tacos and tequila (with optional edible bugs for the brave).
There will be a series of themed events, curated by Paola Feregrino-Rodriguez, a proud Mexican and Londoner. Feregrino-Rodriguez has been working with the Mexican community to create authentic events ranging from Trump Pinata Making and feminist embroidery, to mezcal and insect tasting.
There will also be rooftop day parties with brands including Get Busy, Back to the 90s, Chicken & Beer, Sunshine Soul and Big Fat Hip Hop House Party.
