A new immersive dining series, based on the nation’s favourite novels, is coming to London.
The Plateau Restaurant in London is launching Supper Tales, a series of immersive dinners inspired by some of the world’s most loved novels, including The Great Gatsby, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and Harry Potter.
Launching on Thursday 7th March – World Book Day – with The Great Gatsby, Head Chef Frederick Forster will create a four-course Art Deco menu, complete with Champagne to transport guests to the glitz and glamour of the 1920s.
Enter Jay Gatsby’s extravagant world and re-live the roaring twenties with Champagne and canapés of smoked salmon and caviar on toast, duck liver pate and oysters on arrival. Surrounded by decadent interiors and music from the jazz era, expect a chic and stylish evening with a starter of tender new season asparagus with Hollandaise sauce, followed by Forster’s herb-crusted lamb rack with artichokes and rosemary-infused sauce. Inspired by the decadent afternoon tea laid on to woo Daisy Buchanan, be tempted with a caramelised lemon tart with Champagne poached rhubarb to finish.
The next event in the Supper Tales series will feature a chocolate factory theme, just in time for Easter.
