An arts festival for the mind, body and spirit in Liverpool

By Caroline King - March 22, 2019Posted in : Art, Cinema, Classes & Workshops, Festival, Music, Theatre

The Angel Field Festival will be bringing music, theatre, dance, film, visual art and story-telling from around the world to the city of Liverpool this month.

The Washing Up - Angel Field Festival Liverpool
A performance of The Washing Up will kick off the Angel Field Festival in Liverpool

The festival’s content will be shaped by key historical events, all marking key milestones in 2019, including 50 years since the first moon landing; 30 years since the demolition of the Berlin Wall; 30 years since the end of the Ceausescu regime in Romania; 100 years since the Bauhaus; and the (possible) commencement of Brexit.

The festival will kick off with a performance of The Washing Up, an absurd look at doing the dishes, at the Warehouse Theatre. The festival will continue until the end of the month with concerts featuring music from a wide range of cultures, as well as sound installations, eclectic theatre performances, talks and screenings.

When: 22nd – 30th March 2019
Where: At various venues in the Everton district of Liverpool
£: Ticket prices vary, depending on the performance. Some events are free
