Where to celebrate Burns Night in London

By Caroline King - January 22, 2019Posted in : Dance, Food & Drink, Theatre

Burns Night, the annual celebration of Robert Burns’ life and poetry, is almost upon us. Although traditionally celebrated in Scotland, more and more events are taking place across the whole of the UK. For those of you in London this month, we’ve come up with a few ideas for enjoying an alternative evening out, with a Scottish theme…

Burns Night London 2019

Outlying Islands at The King’s Head Theatre

Take in a suitably Scottish play

When: On until 2nd February 2019
Where: The King’s Head Theatre, 115 Upper Street, London N1 1QN

What is it?
The award-winning Atticist return to the King’s Head Theatre with a revival of Scottish playwright David Greig’s Outlying Islands. Directed by Jessica Lazar, Outlying Islands demonstrates the lyricism and humanity that has made Greig one of the UK’s leading dramatists. Transporting us to a world where the line between reality and fantasy is blurred, Greig’s funny, poetic and moving play bravely explores a society on the edge of immense change.
