Faery Trail Lucas Kao installation Cumbria When: 18th January 2019, 5pm – 6pm

Where: St Andrews Church Yard, Penrith, Cumbria

£: Free

What is it?

This Friday, take a walk to St Andrews Church Yard in Penrith and see if you can spot the faeries dancing in the trees.  The Faery Trail is a special installation by Lucas Kao, which will visit the Cumbrian town for one evening only.

The installation is inspired by the traditional illustrations of Arthur Rackham and the early moving images made by the Lumière Brothers, Thomas Edison and Eadweard Muybridge.  The installation also highlights the lack of non-white bodies in the history of art.

The Faery Trail is a site-specific experience, bringing magical creatures to life using miniature projections on natural surfaces such as trees and grass.
