What is it?
A winter playground is coming to Millennium Square in Bristol, as the real-ice ice rink and winter fair opens on Saturday 17th November. The circus-themed launch day will include a free outdoor screening of The Greatest Showman, some west-end magic with a performance from the Bristol Show Choir, and circus skills workshops and entertainment supplied by the students of Circomedia.
From 1pm on the Saturday, Circomedia will be providing walkabout entertainment, with stilt-walkers, jugglers, and immersive characters amongst the stalls and old-fashioned rides. Visitors will be able to try their hand at juggling, plate spinning, and even tightrope walking, in the circus skills area.

At 3pm, the Bristol Show Choir will take to the stage and sing songs from smash hit West End and Broadway shows, as well as lesser known off-Broadway gems and some Christmas classics, all in acapella.
At 4pm there will be a free outdoor screening of hit musical film The Greatest Showman, the worldwide musical sensation that tells the story of the birth of show business.
At 8pm visitors will be able to join the party at Aprés Bar Bristol as their house DJ Dorney spins the decks with a range of house, techno and disco tunes.
The ice rink will be open from Saturday 17th November until Sunday 6th January (closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day). Sessions will be open to the general public, schools groups, home educator groups, evening ‘Disco Boots’ and special ‘Little Boots’ under 8s sessions.
