By Caroline King - November 23, 2018Posted in : FEATURED-CONTENT, Festival

Magical Lantern Festival 2017 When: 23rd November 2018 – 1st January 2019

Where: Birmingham Botanic Garden, Westbourne Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 3TR

£: Tickets cost £9.75 – £14.06

What is it?

The Magical Lantern Festival is returning to Birmingham, from Friday 23rd November to Tuesday 1st January, with a colourful array of new lanterns.

This year’s lanterns will come in all shapes and sizes, with many larger than life. Visitors will follow along a special route, where there will be lanterns including Santa, reindeer, penguins, snowmen, Christmas trees and fairies lighting up the way.

Alongside the winter and festive themed lanterns, there will be plenty of the more traditional Chinese lanterns, including pandas, flowers, peacocks and giant birdcages. Refreshments will also be available along the route.

The lanterns are specially designed and made in China for the event.
