What is it?
QUEENS ice rink and bowling alley in West London is promising a white Christmas this festival season. Launching on Monday 19th November, guests will see QUEENS transform into a winter wonderland as custom-made snow cannons will create a magical ice skating experience, along with a new festive menu from MEATliquor and the city’s first on-ice sing-along sessions.
QUEENS will be decking their super-sized skating hall for guests, whether a pro or just playing, to showcase their ice skating finesse in the snow, straight out of a scene from Frozen. ‘Tis the season to gather your friends and show off your best Mariah Carey and Wham! renditions whilst skating, as QUEENS introduces sing-a-long sessions on the ice. Taking place every Saturday, expect weekly sing-a-long screenings of the nation’s favorite Christmas classics.
New for this winter is The SIN BIN, in partnership with MEATliquor, London’s only dedicated curling rinkside bar and diner offering guests the ideal spot to refuel, recharge and relax after taking to the ice. Stretching across the length of the rink, guests can sip on a selection of XXXmas drinks, including Pinot Grinchio (a mix of Grey Goose citron vodka, apple liqueur, fresh apple, fresh lemon juice, passion fruit and pinot grigio) and XXXmas pudding (a blend of mulled brandy, shaken with fresh lemon juice, a hint of sugar cane, a dash of bitters, served in a pudding with a flamed orange twist).
After working up an appetite on the ice, diners can tuck into a merry feast with MEATliquor’s XXXmas menu, including Piggies In Blankets (half-a-dozen Gloucester old spot chipolatas wrapped in Herons Farm bacon and served with a dab of English mustard); and the XXXmas Burger, with free-range Herons Farm roast turkey and old spot sausage patty, crispy bacon, stuffing crumbles, gravy and cranberry sauce. Vegetarian and vegan options will also be available.
The ‘snow’ starts falling from 19th November and the MEATliquor Christmas menu will also be available from 19th November. Sing-a-long ice sessions will take place every Saturday, from 24th November.
