What is it?

The 14th Mayhem Film Festival will take place at the Broadway cinema in Nottingham, from Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th October, with a mix of horror, sci-fi and cult cinema.

This year’s festival line-up will include screenings, previews, premieres, guest screenings and a short film showcase.

The festival will kick off on the Thursday with a screening of Scottish zombie musical Anna and the Apocalypse, followed by a Q & A with director John McPhail.

Friday’s screenings will begin with The White Reindeer (1952), which features a vampire reindeer of all things.  There will also be a screening of Nightshooters, with a special guest appearance from director Marc Price.

Saturday will feature the short film showcase, and a screening of The Devil’s Doorway, presented by director Aislinn Clarke.

The final day of the festival will feature the UK premiere of Inuyashiki (dir. Shinsuke Sato, 2018), and a screening of The Flinterrogation, hosted by author David Flint.
