Brake for the border with Brockweir’s Soapbox Derby

When: 15th September 2018, from 10am

Where: Brockweir, Gloucestershire

£: Free to watch. There is a small charge for car parking

What is it?

The third annual Brockweir Soapbox Derby will take place on Saturday 15th September in the Forest of Dean village.

The event will see competitors in gravity powered karts negotiate a course which runs from Mackenzie Hall to the bottom of the hill near Brockweir Country Inn.

The adult and junior races will take place from 11am to 2pm, with participants making two timed runs.  This year’s downhill course will include several jumps and chicanes, with competitors hoping to equal last year’s 40mph speeds.

Trophy and prize presentations will take place at 4pm. Categories in this year’s event will include the fastest kart, the most stylish kart, and the best ‘champagne moment’.  There will also be stalls and refreshments at the event.
