What is it?

Europe’s largest street art and graffiti festival, Upfest, will return to Bristol from Saturday 28th to Monday 30th July, showcasing artistic talent from across the globe.

Returning to the streets of Bedminster for the 10th year, the festival attracts thousands of visitors, offering free entertainment for all the family.

This year, around 400 artists will live paint over the three days; painting super-sized street murals, shop shutters, boards, and small, almost hidden works.

For 2018, characters from The Simpsons – including Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie – will be appearing in artworks throughout the festival.

As well as the live painting, visitors can enjoy activities, including the chance to add your own creativity to the doodle wall, hear from the festival artists and join the Sketch Factory.  There will also be kid’s craft workshops, rainbow bubbles, a Graffiti Academy, festival stalls, art sales and music.

Once again, Upfest will be raising money for The National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACOA) which offers aid and assistance for children growing up in families affected by alcoholism.
