What is it?
This year’s Clovelly Maritime Festival will take place on Saturday 14th July in the village harbour. The day will have activities and entertainment for all ages, including miniature boat building and mermaid storytelling.
Events at the festival will include the Clovelly Cup Rally with the North Devon Yacht Club. Racing will take place outside the harbour, across the bay, but visitors will be able to see the boats setting off on the race course. The Bideford Sea Cadets will also be in the harbour for the festival.
The festival day will also include live music, street entertainment, activities and games for the whole family.
Punch & Judy and pirates in the harbour
Visitors will be able to get tasters and information from Sustainable Fish Education, build their own miniature boats, try sea themed arts and crafts, and hear some mermaid storytelling with Tales from the Sea.
There will also be Punch & Judy, Shipwreck Survival, face painting and a variety of stalls selling food and maritime crafts.
There will be free entry for under those under 16 years of age who head along in maritime-themed fancy dress costumes.
Clovelly Maritime Festival is held in aid of Bideford & District Sea Cadets.
