Meet the Georgian falconer at the fair

When: 31st May – 3rd June 2018

Where: Beamish Museum, Beamish, County Durham DH9 0RG

£: Admission costs £19 for adults, £14 for seniors and students, and £11 for children. Family tickets are also available. Tickets are valid for one year

What is it?

Enjoy the hustle and bustle of a country fair, Georgian style, at Beamish Museum’s Pockerley Waggonway, with pedlars, entertainers, strolling musicians and craftsmen.

The Georgian Fair will take place from Thursday 31st May to Sunday 3rd June, with the opportunity to have a go at barrel rolling, watch a Georgian peep show, see how traditional clogs are made, taste traditional Georgian gingerbread, and visit the Quack doctor.

There will also be thatching and wattle and daub demonstrations, Georgian games, fire eaters, trinket sellers, a flea circus, live music and clog dancing, Georgian costumes, Punch and Judy, falconry, and Wellington’s Redcoats of the Durham 68th Regiment.
