The 2018 World’s Original Marmalade Awards & Festival will take place on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th March in Cumbria.
This year’s event will be taking place in Penrith town centre and at Dalemain Mansion, with a free ‘Orange Express’ Shuttle bus operating between the venues to help visitors get around.
On the Saturday, Penrith town centre will be turning orange with shop windows being decorated for the event, and a Marmalade Trail around the town. There will also be market stalls with marmalade to taste and buy, a teddy bear zip wire for children, magicians, musicians, dancing and storytelling.
On the Saturday and Sunday, Dalemain Mansion will be hosting the awards themselves, along with artisan marmalade to try, and marmalade themed demonstrations and displays. This year’s awards have received more than 2,700 entries, from more than 30 countries including Kenya, Taiwan, Malaysia and Brazil.
