Roving brass bands and carnival vibes in London

By Caroline King - November 15, 2017Posted in : Club Night, Food & Drink, Music

Heart of Brass - Queen of Hoxton - Shoreditch London When: 25th November 2017

Where: Queen of Hoxton, 1-5 Curtain Road, London EC2A 3JX

£: Tickets cost £5 in advance or £8+ on the door

What is it?

Featuring a live brass band roving around the venue, quarterly club night Heart of Brass will be bringing the best in live brass music and carnival sounds, to the basement of the Queen of Hoxton in London on Saturday 25th November.

There’ll be live brass band music from The Brassroots, as they play their take on feel good classics, as well as J Felix (True Thoughts) and Mo Fingaz (Main Squeeze) playing sweaty sounds from across the globe, including house, disco, funk, Latin, afro and dub cuts from carnivals around the globe.

On the ground floor, the house party will continue with DJ Odin (Rizzle Kicks tour DJ) playing the best in hiphop, r’n’b, garage, reggae and grime.  When the carnival sweat gets too much, guests will be able to head up to the Moroccan Medina Rooftop, where they can enjoy spiced cocktails amongst the lanterns and cushions in the WigWam, or enjoy a Shisha around a warming fire pit in the rooftop garden.

Expect festival style décor, face painters, giveaways and inflatables during the evening.
