Dr Butler's Hatstand Medicine Band on the Manchester to Hathersage Folk Train

Dr Butler’s Hatstand Medicine Band on the Manchester to Hathersage Folk Train

When: 9th December 2017, train departs at 11.49

Where: Departs from Manchester Piccadilly

£: The price of a train ticket to Hathersage

What is it?

Step aboard the Manchester to Hathersage train on Saturday 9th December, for a festive gig with a difference.

The Hope Valley Line Folk Train will once again be celebrating the Christmas season with much-loved Manchester Band, Dr Butler’s Hatstand Medicine Band.

The band will be playing a mix of Jazz, Blues, Swing and good time Rags from the 20’s and 30’s, providing some unusual onboard entertainment as the train travels through the picturesque Peak District countryside.

The festive folk train is a great way to get into the festive spirit and seasoned travellers are known to bring mulled wine and chocolates with them on their journey.

Once the train arrives in Hathersage, the entertainment will continue at the nearby Little John Hotel, where the band will be playing two sets of music during the afternoon.

There are further festive folk trains departing from Sheffield and Glossop later in the month.
