What is it?
This December, The Forestry Commission’s National Arboretum at Westonbirt will be once again transforming into a sensory winter wonderland.
Westonbirt’s annual Enchanted Christmas event will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening, from the first weekend in December to the weekend before Christmas.
At the heart of the Enchanted Christmas event lies a spectacular lighting display, that takes decorating the tree for Christmas to a whole new level. Westonbirt’s majestic tree collection will be illuminated, to create a magical experience for the whole family. A new lighting design is created each year, taking in around a mile of the arboretum’s paths.
The trail itself is pushchair, wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly, and features exciting interactive displays for the family to enjoy along the way.
Father Christmas and (Mother Christmas) will be there, local choirs will be singing festive carols, there’ll be rides on a traditional carousel and refreshments will be available in a merry marquee.
The trail takes about 45 minutes to complete and tickets for the event must be purchased in advance.
