What is it?

Head to the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh this Christmas, for an evening trail through illuminated trees.

The family friendly trail is about one mile long and will take visitors through trees lit by a variety of twinkling lights.

Christmas at the Botanics runs from 4.40pm to 8pm, until Saturday 30th December. The event will feature singing conifers making up a Choir of Trees, a flickering Fire Garden, a Crystal Lawn lit by spheres of light and a sparkling Beech Hedge.

In addition to the illuminated trail, there will be appearances from Santa and his elves, toasted marshmallows, hot chocolate, and mulled wine, to complete the festive feeling.
