Give boredom the chop with some urban axe throwing

Axe Throwing - Whistle Punks When: Book a date online

Where: London, Birmingham and Manchester

£: Costs from £20

What is it?

Fed up with the usual days and evenings out in the city?  Why not give Whistle Punks’ Urban Axe Throwing a whirl?

On arrival, a brief masterclass in the art of axe flinging is given to guests, before they are then put head-to-head in a tournament. The closer to the bullseye the axe lands, the more points are awarded, with the top scorers being crowned the axe king or axe queen at the end of the event.

The much-talked about sport has travelled from countries such as Canada where it is extremely popular, to greet the streets of London, Birmingham and Manchester.

Founders Jools Whitehorn and John Nimmon were instantly hooked when they tried out the quirky sport for themselves, and started up Whistle Punks to let more people join in the fun, with plans in mind to open up more venues and spread the axe throwing craze nationwide.
