What is it?
On Saturday 16th September, the 15th annual Great Gorilla Run will take place in London. The event sees hundreds of fun runners, dressed as gorillas, attempt an 8K course through the City.
It costs £30 to register for the event, including the gorilla costume, which participants get to keep afterwards.
The run will begin at Minster Court in the City, before passing some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including the Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral. As it is a fun run, participants may run, jog or walk the 8K course.
If you don’t feel up to an 8K run dressed as a gorilla, then why not head along to cheer on the runners instead?
So far, the event has raised over £2 million for gorilla conservation and poverty reduction projects in central Africa.
