Findon Sheep Fair 2014 When: 9th September 2017

Where: Nepcote Green, Findon Village, West Sussex BN14 0SD

£: Free (evening events are ticketed). Car parking costs £4

What is it?

Findon Sheep Fair and Village Festival will take place on Saturday 9th September, with sheep displays, crafts, a traditional fun fair and a barn dance.

The Sheep Fair has been taking place on Nepcote Green since the 1700s, and still takes place annually on the second Saturday in September.

This year’s fair will have a range of sheep breeds being judged, sheep displays, and sheep shearing.  Visitors will have a chance to meet the sheep and learn the history of sheep, as well as watch sheepdog demonstrations.

Events kick off on the Friday evening with a barn dance in the marquee, with live music and a bar.  The traditional fun fair will also be open from 6.30pm.

Fair day events begin at 10.30am.  Attractions will include rural crafts and demonstrations, craft stalls, produce stalls, small animals, heavy horses, donkey rides, falconry, Punch and Judy, vintage cars, circus skills, and dancing.

In the evening there will be more live music in the marquee and a bar.

For those wishing to make a weekend of it, there will also be a picnic taking place on the green on Sunday.  The picnic takes place at 1pm, and visitors should bring their own food and drinks.
