What is it?
Place Productions and Stitchin’ Fiction present Burnt Toast, written by Guy Hodgkinson, from 22nd July to 26th August at Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms and London’s Theatre503 and Courtyard Theatre.
“We will do anything for the people that we love, even if it means eating burnt toast.”
Saxilby. Fifteen years later. Burnt toast. Boring sex. Viennetta. Knife roulette. Quick Pol is celebrating a 15th anniversary. Her partner, Average Alfred supplies the Viennetta, whilst Wannabe Penelope props up the bar, owned by two resident Spaniards. It’s business as usual in rural Lincolnshire. Then Shelley arrives and f**ks up everything.
The debut work of Soho Associate Guy Hodgkinson, Burnt Toast examines small town life under a magnifying glass, outside, on a very sunny day.
London previews will take place at Theatre503, from 22nd and 23rd July, and The Courtyard Theatre on 28th July. Burnt Toast will then be on at Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms, in the Front Room, from 2nd to 26th August.
