What is it?
SO Festival returns to Skegness for the 9th year, from Tuesday 27th June to Sunday 2nd July, with free performances, art and workshops.
This year’s festival will have the theme of ‘Play’, and will feature six days of family entertainment across the East Lindsay area. This year’s event will also include Cake Fest, which will be aiming to create a 100 square metre, fully edible map of East Lincolnshire.
Highlights of this year’s festival will include Les Commandos Percu & Deabru Beltzak’s show Danbor Talka (Clash of Drums), which will bring a mixture of movement, pyrotechnics and fire to the stage. There will also be Garsington Opera’s Semele, a love story with a twist, and circus workshops from Flame Oz.
Other events include a Selfie Seaside Hunt, a new digital game inspired by the history of Skegness, physical theatre from an Urban Astronaut, a chance to join a chorus line, a show from The Strong Lady.
