Jack and the Beanstalk at Painshill

When: 30th May 2017 (11.30am – 12.30pm, 2.30pm – 3.30pm)

Where: Painshill, Portsmouth Road, Cobham, Surrey K11 1AA

£: Admission costs £12 or £10 for members

What is it?

Join the Garlic Puppet Theatre in the picturesque setting of the large Walled Garden at Painshill in Surrey on Tuesday 30th May, for a charming rendition of a favourite fairy tale classic, Jack and the Beanstalk. The show is aimed at families with children aged 3 – 7 years.

Painshill is one of Europe’s most important 18th century landscape gardens.  The 158-acre landscape garden represents the vision of an English gentleman, The Hon. Charles Hamilton. The landscapes, originally created between 1738 and 1773, form living works of art into which Hamilton placed follies for dramatic effect.  Painshill Park Trust, a registered charity, was formed in 1981 to restore the landscape garden, which is now Grade I Listed. Painshill has undergone significant restoration in recent years, and the Visitor Centre, which was opened in 2001, welcomes over 75,000 visitors every year.
