When: 29th April – 1st May 2017 (bank holiday weekend)
Where: Llandudno, Wales
What is it?
This year’s Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza will take place from Saturday 29th April to Monday 1st May. The three-day event will feature a parade of Victorian costumed folk, live music, entertainers, sideshows and vintage vehicles.
The annual, free family event, has been taking place in the seaside town on the May Day bank holiday since 1986. This year’s event will feature a daily costumed parade at 1pm, which people are encouraged to dress up and join in with. The parade usually attracts a myriad of Victorian-themed characters, entertainers, bands, dancers and vintage vehicles. There will be prizes awarded each day for the best attired participants.
At this year’s extravaganza there will be entertainment taking place at the North Western Gardens, the Bandstand, and wandering performances and flash mob style performances in the town centre. Entertainment will include jugglers, Punch and Judy, stilt walkers, magicians and street dancers.
Kevin Grunill will once again be playing a traditional theatre organ on the Promenade main stage. There will also be a Victorian Dress Competition, youth and pipe bands, and local choirs.
