The Depraved Appetite of Tarrare the Freak - Wilton’s Music Hall

The Depraved Appetite of Tarrare the Freak at Wilton’s Music Hall

Avoid the masses at cheesy West End shows and try one of these…

The Depraved Appetite of Tarrare the Freak

When: Runs until 18th February 2017
Where: Wilton’s Music Hall, 1 Graces Alley, Whitechapel, London E1 8JB
£: Tickets cost £10 – £20
What is it?
Based on a true story, The Depraved Appetite of Tarrare the Freak is an extraordinary chamber opera with puppets, performed in the atmospheric (and frightfully romantic) Wilton’s Music Hall. Macabre, witty and oddly beautiful, this is a unique show from one of the country’s most distinctive and talented new puppetry companies.

Flew the Coop

When: 14th February – 4th March 2017, 7.30pm
Where: New Diorama Theatre, 15-16 Triton St, Kings Cross, London NW1 3BF
£: Tickets cost £12.50/£14
What is it?
Acclaimed international theatre company Lost Watch present the most unusual love story you’re likely to encounter this Valentine’s Day. Based on (reportedly) true events, Flew the Coop tells the story of the turbulent romance between young Silesian translator Rosa Rauchbach, debonair British POW Horace Greasley, and an inordinate number of stolen chickens. Rauchbach, having disguised her Jewish roots to secure a job as a translator at the POW camp where Greasley was interned, facilitated over 200 escapes for her lover, with Greasley returning undetected each time…which is where the chickens come in.

When: 14th February 2017, 7pm
Where: King’s Head Theatre, 115 Upper Street, London N1 1QN

With over 60 years spent on stage and treading the boards with the likes of Orson Welles and Dame Judi Dench, Ruby has a tale or two to tell about love, romance and showbiz in her one-woman show.
