What is it?
Enjoy an evening of adventure at Mr Fogg’s in Mayfair on Monday 13th March, with explorer Alistair Carr.
As part of their Explorer Series, Mayfair bar Mr Fogg’s will be teaming up with avid adventurer Alistair Carr as he shares tales of his global travels. Carr will be reflecting on his incredible journey discovering remote regions and lost civilizations. The explorer has declared that this series of talks will be the last time he shares his awe-inspiring stories from The Nomad’s Path: Travels in the Sahel, with a public audience.
Guests of Mr Fogg’s will be invited to escape the busy streets of London and transport themselves to more remote territories, as Carr reveals how he discovered previously untouched corners of the globe. Providing a rare insight into his quest across The Manga in 2008, amongst other terrific tales, Carr will be divulging the very real triumphs, trials and tribulations that he has encountered.
Settle into Mr Fogg’s humble Mayfair home and enjoy an evening listening to Carr’s stories, whilst sipping on Hendrick’s and Reyka special explorer libations. The event will commence at precisely 7.01pm with a 50-minute talk, followed by a 10-minute Q&A.
Launched in 2014, The Explorer Series at Mr Fogg’s in Mayfair is a collection of intimate talks, featuring epic travellers’ tales told by some of the world’s greatest seafaring daredevils, survival maestros and courageous adventurers.
The talks are held once a month, and guests are taken on daring expeditions as they listen to the daunting and fearless voyages of notable explorers, all in the humble abode of fellow British adventurer Mr Phileas J. Fogg. Past guests have included Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Levison Wood, Ed Stafford, the Turner Twins, Bear Grylls, Bill Colegrave, Robert Swan, and Simon Reeve.
