What is it?
The Digbeth area of Birmingham comes alive on the first Friday of each month with exhibitions, late-night openings, special events, culture in unexpected spaces, live music and street food.
As part of February’s First Friday, Eastside Projects will be staying open late, giving visitors another chance to see new show, Production Show: Building/Developing/Testing.
The show, which runs until 22nd April 2017, is the third in Eastside Projects’ series of evolving exhibitions, and includes solo exhibitions, generative performances, artists’ tests for a major public art commission, events and workshops.
For one night only they’ll be broadcasting sound works from the gallery façade by Syllabus II artists including Mira Calix, Faye Claridge, Mike Harvey, E. Jackson, Tyler Mallison and Tom Smith.
As an extra treat, Eastside Projects will be serving up Jasleen Kaur’s exclusive hot chai recipe in the Black Pleasure bar.
