What is it?
KERB and Monkey Shoulder present the Burns Hootenanny at the Biscuit Factory in London, on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th January.
Street food specialists, KERB, are joining forces with whisky mavericks, Monkey Shoulder, to bring Londoners two nights of celebration with food, drink, poetry and highland themed games.
The menu for the event will feature food with a Scottish flavour including haggis Scotch eggs, haggis mac ‘n’ cheese, slow cooked venison tacos, a Macbeth toastie (haggis, cheddar, caramelised onion, rocket and mustard), and the Oyster Boy (fresh Cumbrae rock and Loch Ryan native oysters with Tabasco or whisky dressing).
Guests can also indulge in a ‘Build your own’ whisky sundae from Nonna’s Gelato. Choose from raspberry sorbet, honey cream gelato, fior di latte gelato, pear and whisky caramel, topped with whisky oatmeal crumble, shortbread wafer or whisky sauce.
Ticket holders can taste an ‘Old Fashioned’ from Monkey Shoulder, plus four Scottish KERB cocktail creations, wine and local craft beers during the evening.
Music will come in the form of Monster Ceilidh (Teesside fiddler and accordion maestro, meets dub-heavy electric bass), as well as live DJs before and after.
The highland themed games will include corn-hole, ‘sheep shearing’ and Donald Trump’s crazy golf course.
