The St Austell Torchlight Carnival will take place on Saturday 19th November in Cornwall.

In the daytime, the town of St Austell will come alive with stalls, children’s rides and local entertainment, from 10am until 5pm.  The entertainment will take place in White River Place and Fore Street.

Entertainment will come in the form of music and dance from 4Real Dance, the Jo Saville Rock Choir, Big Beat Junk Band, Samba de Roselando, Ukeability and 4 Funx Sake Dance.

The Amazing Rocco will return this year to wow the crowds with his magic and circus skills.  SWAMP Circus will  also be holding a two-hour free workshop in the Market House at 2pm.

St Austell Torchlight Carnival 2014 - CornwallAt 6pm the Torchlight Carnival Procession will begin.  The procession will see an array of decorated floats and lanterns from community groups, local schools and businesses.  Each year there are prizes and trophies awarded to the best entrants, so an enormous amount of effort goes into the preparation, creating an amazing spectacle.

The procession will assemble at John Keay House at 4.30pm.  It will then take in Tregonissey Road, Poltair Road, Carlyon Road, Kings Avenue, East Hill, South Street, Trinity Street, Truro Road, Bridge Road, Moorland Road, South Street, Penwinnick Road, and end at the One Stop Shop for the prize giving.
