What is it?
The 36th Great Christmas Pudding Race will take place on Saturday 3rd December, in Covent Garden, London.
The event sees costumed teams of six try to complete a Christmas themed obstacle course, whilst carrying a Christmas pudding on a tray.
The course will include a flying foam slalom, and special challenges to complete along the way, including pulling a cracker, completing a jigsaw, decorating a tree, finding a sixpence and collecting a letter from Santa.
This year’s event will begin at 11.15am with a ‘Royal’ opening, followed by teams parading in their fancy dress. The races will begin at 11.50am with qualifying races, before the grand final at 12.50pm. There will be entertainment from Viva La Bop in-between the races.
The event is organised by CRAC on behalf of Cancer Research UK and supported by Fox’s and Covent Garden Market. Last year the event raised £26,285 for charity.
