World Trials Champion to wheelie 59.5km around Isle of Man

What is it?

On Saturday 24th September, 12-time World Trials Champion Dougie Lampkin will be attempting a rather unusual challenge.

Lampkin will be trying to do one continual wheelie around the 59.5km (37.7 miles) Isle of Man TT course.  Lampkin will be setting off from the famous Grandstand in Douglas at 5pm, and will aim to complete the historic lap in under two hours.

Dougie’s Wheelie is backed by Red Bull, and the attempt will be broadcast live on their TV channel.

Dougie Lampkin MBE is a professional motorcycle trials and endurocross rider, who was born in West Yorkshire, but now lives on the Isle of Man.
